He's sad because there wasn't 3 seasons of the first chapter, and yes, it could have been that long.

I didn't really like this first season, there were lots of skips, cause of that you never get to progress with the MC. Things just happen and you are supposed to piece it to together.
Also midway the main goal of the anime just ended(that is escaping from the game) then it turned into a glorified romance anime with the MC trying to save his love.
If the second half of this anime were a different season I don't think people would watch it. Atleast I wouldn't.

...are visitors who aren't family members allowed to visit a patient that late at night? anyways this is like my fifth rewatch i love this anime (rape, unnecessary fan service, harem despite having a gf, home sweet alabama type shit aside), it's a great anime. really wish they didn't rush the aincrad arc that much we were past lvl 50 by like ep 4. really exited for the new movie that's coming out this month glad we're getting more of aincrad and asuna's pov too. new watchers enjoy
